Late-Beginner onwards: The workshop is suited to those playing late-beginner songs comfortably. You should have the ability to think beyond basic harp technique and the mechanics of playing the strings.
*Note: This is a follow on from the Harmonics Workshop: Left-Hand, so we’d recommend watching it first. However, only a basic knowledge of harmonics is needed.

I found this worksop very informative, Carrie does a great job explaining the technique needed to accomplish a nice bell like sound. I have not mastered it yet, but I will keep trying until I do.

I’m so impressed with the generous amount of time that we had with Carrie to perfect technique and to find what worked best for us. I had taken the left hand harmonics class with Carrie and so I was very encouraged to try this right hand technique. I would recommend these classes to everyone so much fun to be able to add a special ring to the strings.

We learned how to make that beautiful, heavenly, bell sound one often hears above the other sounds in an orchestra. We learned so much; i.e. the purpose of a harmonic, how to recognize one in music notation, hand positioning, finger placement, and finding the “sweet spot” for notes. Practical take-a-ways included how to avoid or handle the pain that can come from practicing too long. This included hand, finger, and upper body stretches and exercises to release tension. This is a must have course worth all 5 stars on a “5 star rating.”
