Have you ever been curious or felt intimidated by harmonics? Or, perhaps you know how to play them, but you want input on improving your technique and sound.

Well, it’s time to demystify harmonics and get that sweet sound with your own hands!

Get that beautiful bell tone of left-hand harmonics as you learn and practice with harp teacher, Carrie!

During the workshop, you’ll get a basic understanding of what a harmonic is, and learn the step-by-step of playing a left-hand harmonic. Carrie will guide you with good hand technique and show you how to find the right string height when you pluck.

The session will focus on putting this knowledge into practice as you try it out yourself, ask questions, and adjust your technique as you go.

The replay is available after the event, and it’s yours to keep. You can watch and learn at your own pace, as many times and whenever you wish.

For context, I had to Google harmonics to even know what they were before this workshop. After, I feel I understand what they are, how to identify them in music, and how to play them correctly. This was a great workshop and there was a lot of one-on-one troubleshooting, so whatever issues you are experiencing, you will probably see them in this video (and learn how to work through them).

This has been my first workshop with Carrie and also the first one I could attend live thanks to the timing. I had played some harmonics before, but with mediocre tone. Carrie’s explanations of the technique and individual advice have been spot on. My tone improved tremendously within few minutes! The exercises were also well chosen, I’ll have them on my music stand as “harmonics warmup” for the next weeks. 🙂
Many thanks to Carrie and also to the lovely attendants of the workshop, hopefully see you again soon!

This was an excellent course. I especially liked how Carrie demonstrated showing hand position and how to co-ordinate dampening and plucking to get the ring sound of the harmonic. She also showed the harp straight on which gave a clear view of how to do it. I’m now enjoying
being able to do harmonics. Thank you.
