The 28-Bass LAP Harp is our most popular harp, and also comes in a Celtic design (for an additional $100). It has standard string spacing, medium string tension, and is perfect for beginners or performers. It has a range that will accommodate most songs, and is easy to carry around since it weighs only 8 pounds. It has exceptional sound quality at an affordable price. There is non-skid rubber on the bottom of the harp so that it will not slide off your lap while playing it. You can also wear it with a strap and play standing or sitting. We also have an optional collapsible matching wooden stand that turns this harp into a floor harp.
Why this Harp?
This lap harp has more strings than most, and is ideal if you want more bass strings and a bigger, beautiful sound. You get the sound of the floor harp, but the size of a lap harp! The curved soundbox adds to the exceptional, handcrafted sound that is characteristic of Marini harps.
Christy-Lyn has a 28-Bass LAP Harp, and she loves the warm tone, the full bass, and how comfortable it is to play with the strap! She also likes using the wooden stand which extends the sound of the harp.
