The 24-Therapy LAP Harp is a recent design requested by those who do a lot of playing in hospitals, nursing homes and for Hospice, and need a very lightweight harp. This harp is about 5 pounds, and is made of a combination of cherry and paulownia wood. It has standard string spacing, medium string tension, and is perfect for those in therapy ministries. It has exceptional sound for such a small, lightweight harp. There is non-skid rubber on the bottom of the harp so that it will not slide off your lap while playing. You can also wear it with a strap and play standing or sitting.

Why this Harp?
This harp was designed in collaboration with Edie Elkan for Harp Therapy and it has a very soothing and gentle voice. If you are prioritizing having a light harp and you don’t mind having slightly fewer strings, this is a good option. Although it has fewer strings than regular lap harps, it has a more refined sound.
