Is there a tugging on your heart to play harp for the Lord? Then let’s learn to worship Him with songs of praise on the harp! Whether you play in your personal time, at church, or for loved ones, we’ll help you learn the chords of this beautiful worship song.
During the session, you’ll learn:
- How to play this worship song from chords (even if you’ve never played it before).
- A simple version of the song from chords, in the first few minutes! You can use it to accompany your own singing, or to play along with other instruments.
- Chord pattern ideas that progress from simple to more complex, so you can choose the right level and keep practicing for the rest of the workshop.
- Ways to level up in complexity, with ideas that get more fun and interesting (you can watch the workshop replay to gradually incorporate these as you progress!).
By the end of the workshop, you’ll be able to play the classic hymn “Be Thou My Vision” from chords!
The replay is available, and it’ll be yours to keep! You can learn at your own pace, pause the recording as needed, and rewatch the parts you’d like to focus on – as many times and whenever you wish.

I’m new to playing with chords and found this workshop enjoyable, simple and productive for me. This stretched my creativity! I’m very excited to continue practicing what I learned and plan on rewatching this course to better grasp all that was shared. It was great!

I really enjoyed this workshop! There was something for everyone, and Christy-Lyn gave us so many tools in a manageable package. I know a lot of music theory and have been playing harp for many years, but I tend to need help applying my head knowledge in practical, manageable ways. Christy-Lyn helps you do just that! She teaches you HOW to apply what you are learning so that you come away equipped to do it yourself. 🙂

Love the different ideas from Christy-Lyn which include some easier ones for people starting to play with chords and some more advanced patterns that sound beautiful. The skills learnt in this workshop can be applied to other songs.

This was AMAZING!!!
1. Why hasn’t anyone taught me this in the last 50 years I’ve played the piano and organ?
2. It has been so fun going to the app I have that gives me chord sheets and playing other songs. I’ve applied this to Come Thou Fount of every Blessing and Wagon Wheel by Bob Dylan. How fun!!!!!!!

I took this workshop from the replay, and it was so helpful. I had also taken the Playing from Chords workshop earlier, and I recommend starting there. I do have some training in music theory, but the workshop really gives you a manageable, hands-on approach for starting to play and progressing. You can play entire songs with the easier options and then branch out gradually until you have a toolkit of accompaniment patterns that you can draw from. Made me feel really hopeful about being able to play with a worship band as I get more proficient.
