The piece’s syncopation and free-flowing nature poses a unique challenge for this level, which is something to be aware of if rhythm is not your strong suit. Difficulty Level and Skills Required
Mid-Intermediate: (Click here for the Mid-Beginner version, for the Late-Beginner version click here). The right hand contains ornamentations (also called grace notes), quick placing, and a few right-hand harmonics. The left hand has rolled chords, 4-2-1 patterns, and quick rhythms. There is quite a bit of syncopation in this piece.
Type of Harp
The big harp version is for 33-string harps or larger, but the small harp version works for 22-string (C-C) harps or larger.
Range
For big harps: Lowest note is C, two octaves below middle C. Highest note is A, one and a half octaves above middle C. For small harps: Lowest note is C, one octave below middle C. Highest note is B, almost two octaves above middle C.
Levers/Pedals
In the key of C major. There are no lever changes in the piece.

What a gorgeous arrangement of The Parting Glass! (mid-intermediate). The chords and rhythms are slightly unexpected and so well-placed. There is a sense of being suspended in time. I am confused about the sheet music. It shows in “What’s Included” that there is a 7 page pdf to download, yet I don’t see how to make that happen, in contrast to the audio download, which does show a way to download. In one place where I viewed Carrie playing the piece, it says we have to purchase the sheet music separately from the Shop. I thought if we purchased the course, we got the music as part of it, if we had joined before the decision was made to change that policy. When I did look at the Shop for the sheet music, it showed the price but no member credit option. I am not complaining, just seeking clarification. It would be helpful to know soon, as I will be traveling and w/o a printer for awhile. Thank you.
