This is such a well-known song that brings a lot of emotion to audiences. The atmosphere of the piece really suits the harp, and this arrangement feels really good to play too! It was carefully arranged so that it sounds varied and impressive, but is not difficult to play.

This should NOT be your first late-beginner course! Sally Gardens or Greensleeves are way easier. At first, it seemed easy. The first few phrases were simple and flowed. Then, the real fun began. My first 4-2-1 chord needed a long time to get into my muscle memory. I was proud when I finally got it. This chord shape is used a lot in more advanced arrangements, so it is good to know. It took me about three months to be able to play this song fluently. It might take you less time if your vision is good. I had to memorize the piece line by line due to cataracts. While my family is heartily sick of it, this song is big on the Bay Area open mic circuit and everyone will sing along, I hope.

Just Excellent. Great support and easy to follow. I would never have been able to learn this piece of music without the thougher detail and support on the videos. I really enjoyed it and incredibly pleased to recommend. Thank you.

I really enjoyed learning this beautiful peace and it gave me as a late beginner player some challenges with the quick fingering in some parts. Especially switching from slow play through to full speed felt in the first attempts like a huge step. The lovely melody is worth practicing. The advice with positioning not only the fingers but also the eyes on time was super helpful. I am still struggeling a little with the transitions of the left hand in sections C and I but I guess that will come with more experience and practice. Thank you Christy-Lyn for this arrangement!

I loved every minute of it! I have been away from my harp, with only occasional playing for the past few years. You helped me to fall in love with my harp again! The lessons were perfectly paced, to help me learn small sections at a time. The brackets to indicate finger placement are so helpful, as well as the practice “joining” one section to the next. It was so helpful and so much fun! I can’t wait to choose my next piece!
I can’t thank you enough!!

I am an intermediate player, and still loved learning this level of Hallelujah. I am trying to learn a few pieces quickly for a performance and this was a great way of doing it without feeling stressed. I so appreciate how Christy-Lyn makes it fun to learn a piece in the most effective way possible!

Dear Christy-Lyn, thank you so very much, you are wonderful, and talented, and most importantly inspiring. I started learning harp two months ago. I am incredibly fortunate to have found you on YouTube and eventually have signed up for your portal. I finished learning this piece and it’s so beautiful. I just wanted to thank you from myself and Anna (my harp). You are AWESOME. And fun. And did I say you are AWESOME?
