If you’re looking for a piece that’s beautiful yet simple, this arrangement of Gymnopédie No. 1 is for you. The slow-moving melody, balanced out by the sustained left-hand notes, creates such a soothing, melancholic atmosphere. If you learn along with the video course, Carrie will give you reminders about technique throughout. She’ll also give ideas on how to play expressively through concepts such as lifting off the strings and tastefully applying dynamics.

Note: To make this a beginner-friendly arrangement, this version has been shortened from the original to avoid the many lever changes. A repeat has been added to make the piece feel more complete.
