I have a terrible time changing strings and would like suggestions for How To videos. The Sylvia Woods one just doesn’t work for my brain, though. Any help would be appreciated!

Check with dusty strings about their harp strings buttons. The are very simple to type to and supposedly, prevent string buzzing. I like them and am moving to them as strings break. I have one string that every little wants to buzz. Might just replace it.

This lady has a slightly different approach to tie a string, but it presented well. https://youtu.be/DAqIQaxxGmA?si=BhDWe0kEmC5l84Nb

Sorry it took so long to reply. The harp technician for Salvi said that the Dusty Strings Harp Buttons were the problem! They’re not supposed to be used for the type of strings on my Una, so I had tons of breakage. That’s why I’m trying to do it the regular way…

I use the video for the harp button, then I use this one. I know she’s using gut on a pedal harp, but it’s the only one that has worked for my lever harp (L&H Troubadour). I tried following others, but I mangled one so badly I had to throw it out. Then I just followed her video and never had another problem. I have since replaced 4 or 5 with no trouble. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4tf-0eJaGxI

Thanks everyone for your input. I had a hand injury and am just now getting back to my harp. I will look into these and hope I can figure it out!
