String Charts
Probably most of you have this figured out long since, but I was completely bewildered by the string arrangement on my Troubadour VI harp until I discovered the string charts at http://www.kolacnymusic.com. They’re downloadable pdfs. I just wish I’d found the chart before I ordered the wrong string… How was I to know the numbering of the octaves apparently isn’t actually based on the harp itself? Oh well…

Lyon & Healy runs Harp.com which sells harp strings among other things. If you go to their web site and find your harp, you will find a link that says “Order Strings For This Mode” ( https://www.lyonhealy.com/harps/troubadour-vi/ ) which will lead you to the corresponding string chart and different string options on Harp.com ( https://www.harp.com/string-products/troubadour-vi/?fwp_finder_string_source=original-manufacturer-strings&brand&type ). It’s very handy as there is an illustration to show you how L&H refers to their octaves (which has nothing to do with the octaves as referenced in scientific pitch notation whatsoever!).
