I have a relatively new Harpsicle Brilliant and I have noticed that some of the levers feel harder to move which is tripping me up on quick lever changes. Can you lubricate them with something like sewing machine oil? Is this a common problem?

Have you contacted Rees Harps about it? I had a Grandsicle that had the same situation but I wasn’t at the level of flipping levers yet and have since sold the harp. I am sure Rees Harps has been confronted with what you are experiencing and would be able to help. All the best with your harp playing!

Thanks Cheryl, that’s my next step. I did try a little sewing machine oil and it helped a lot. But I am going to send them an email.

Hi, I know this question is a couple of years old now but I am having the same problem – did you find a solution? I can’t find anything about it online other than people saying to try loosening the nuts but I don’t have anything small enough to fit in the gaps to loosen them with, I’m also a little worried about putting oil on them in case it would cause any damage
