I’m new to playing the harp and have been enjoying the skills videos,
they are very thorough. Two books were mentioned in the videos, Harp
For Today and Grossi Method for Harp. Both sound like they have really
great exercises for building basic skills and I’m wondering if having
both will be redundant or do they each teach different things. Anyone
have experience with these two books?

Hi Karen, I’m so glad to hear you’ve been enjoying the skills videos! The Grossi method book and Harp for Today have many similar exercises, so just buying one should be sufficient. I have and enjoy both books, but at Learning the Harp we do reference the Grossi method book more in workshops and skills videos, so I would recommend the Grossi book if you are on the fence. This is good feedback for me to make sure to mention where you can find the equivalent in each book when sharing exercises, so thank you for starting this discussion! 😃
