Thought I’d see if anyone can give any tips on singing as well as playing. I find it really harp but am trying to improve. I’m not a great singer either but as I have a small harp it makes sense for the melody to be sung. I’ve just done my first arrangement of Everybody Hurts, what do you think? I haven’t worked out what to do about the C chord and needing to put the leaver down. Maybe I should just miss it out. https://youtu.be/-dZkZ4K-qzo

That’s really pretty, @Wild-Guru ! A number of the Talking Harps guests I talked to suggested not playing the melody while you are singing since you are will be singing the melody line anyway, so what you are doing makes perfect sense! Singing while playing the harp is one of the things I would like to be able to do one day. I’ll have to get some tips from you!

Sophie, this was so melodic and peaceful. I am assuming you are playing arpeggio triads while singing.. is my assumption correct? Whatever you played and sang was melodic, harmonic and beautiful .. god bless

hi Manoj, Thank you. Yes I’m playing triads from guitar tabs, repeating right hand after left, except for the slow step down to the G (I think!). i’m not quite sure how to do the C neutral so ended up playing a straight chord for “No, no no you’re not alone” but the lever change really gets in the way (makes me think I need a double strung!).
