  • Right Thumb in Brace (sad face)

Posted by REINOU GROEN on 19 September, 2021 at 11:50 pm

i’m dealing with an injured right thumb, due to a spontaneous soccer/football game with my boys, now 6 weeks with a thumb brace…. 😞

anyhow wanted to indicate that after realizing i can work on my left hand strength and agility i also got some exercises for playing without your thumb 🙂 (in Harp exercises for agility and speed by Deborah Friou)

I’am still looking for more left accompaniment patterns to practice, let me know where to find them!

    thanks!

Oh, no! Right thumb is indispensable. I hope you’ll be healing well soon. Anne Crosby Gaudet wrote a piece entirely for the left hand, both melody and accompaniment. It’s “Mona’s Song,” for her student who broke her right wrist. Here’s the video, with the sheet music link in the description. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7O81ecaxU7w
