Hi! Does anyone have a Lewis Creek harp?

I just watched some videos of it last night. I had never heard of this company before. The lady on the video just raved about it, called it the “Ferrari of therapy harps.”

Any experience out there with this harp? Which model? What type of wood? They go all the way up to 38 strings (lowest F!)

I’m saving up for a good harp in about a year or so. I have time to investigate.

I would love to hear from people who either have a Lewis Creek or have played one.

I’d love to hear the answer also. Are you talking about the 27 string Nightingale? It’s only 7.5 pounds. That would be great for therapy.

Hi. From what I can tell from the videos, there are 2 therapy harps by Lewis Creek. One is 7.5 lbs, made of sassafras (Jessie). And another About 10 lbs made of cherry wood (Nightingale).

But they also have a 38-string harp that goes as low as F (below the usual 36-string harp C)! I have no idea about advanced harp music and how low harp music goes.

    Hi Nancy,

I own a 27-string Jesse, maple wood. Bought it about 5 years ago. Although my preference was Cherrywood, when I visited Jeff at Lewis Creek harps, he only had the maple in stock and I I didn’t want to wait. I have never looked back. It has held up very well as a therapy harp both professionally and Has gone to the hospital with me on my own healing journey. It has the cf strings and Camac levers and stays in tune well. It has a wonderful tone and I bought after comparing several harps at a therapy harp gathering.

I have taken it many times to therapy harp internships and it is lightweight and easy to manage. The harp therapist with whom I interned reminded me that the less I take to gigs the better as nursing homes don’t always have space–even for cases. I am thinking about buying Lori Riley’s harp wheels and harp holder because the strap (guitar strap) can cut into my shoulder but a towel helps.

There are newer models on the market but I really like this harp and plan to use it for many years. If you have any questions please let me know.

    All best, Chari

    How wonderful! It sounds terrific!

The videos I watched raved about it.

I’m really wondering about the 38 string. And how that sounds. And if I need strings as low as F.
