  • Identifying Strings on CAMAC Harp

Hello, hope everyone is well! I have a new Camac Janet Harp, and I have some strings I bought for a Dusty Strings Ravenna 34 – does anyone have any ideas how to find out if I can use any of these gauge strings with my new harp?

You may want to have a string chart handy, which you can download from the Camac website for free (one for lever and one for pedal). Here is the link to the Camac lever harp string chart: https://shop.camac-harps.com/en/product/lever-harp-string-charts/

Their string gauge chart should give you further information such as material and diameter of their strings: https://shop.camac-harps.com/en/product/lever-harp-string-charts/

I found I can usually use the nylon strings on the very top interchangeably with my different harps so long as their gauge match. The further I go down the harp, the less likely (or impossible) I am able to use the strings on more than one harp.

Thank you Victoria, as it happens I need to replace one string straight away, so have a new Camac string to use!
