Hi, I am a Primary School Music Teacher however I have an interest in Music Therapy and the use of the harp in that context. I live in Australia. Do you have any ideas where I could begin to this journey. I have looked at the University of Melbourne Course and the requirement is AMEB Grade 8 on an instrument. I am a beginner harp player and can play a little guitar and ukelele.

Hey there! I’m a music therapist in the U.S. I am not very familiar with Australian standards (and don’t know what that last part means), but I teach in a university program here, and we get a lot of students who are currently music educators. Good luck with your next steps!

Hey, Rachelle. I, too, teach in a University/College setting. Have you gone through any of the Harp Therapy programs, or know of people who have? This is all very new to me, but I wanted to find a way to give my music (both my beginning Harp skills, as well as my singing- I teach voice) to people who are ill, etc. Thanks.
