Adjusting to a Transparent Instrument
As one who played piano (an opaque instrument) before learning harp (which is a transparent instrument between the strings,) do any of you experience disorientation in finding the right strings when you move your harp to a different location (as the background behind the stings has changed?)
How does one overcome this? Does it just take time? Do I need to know my harp by feel and not rely so much on sight? Thanks in advance for your thoughts. -
