This is a good piece for having less repetition in the left hand, so one has to pay attention to if one is playing just a single note or two notes, but there is enough repetition in the song so it isn’t too hard. It also has quite a few overlapping brackets in the right hand. You also get to finally use that ring finger in the right hand! I would suggest you should play an easier song with overlapping brackets first to master that before learning this song. This was one of the first courses I purchased, but I found it too difficult as the time. Thus if you haven’t played songs with overlapping brackets or using the 4th finger before, find an easier song that works on one or both of those things first. (Swan Lake or Misty Mountains Cold are both good introductions to overlapping brackets. Misty Mountains also makes use of the 4th finger in the right hand.) This is a short, sweet hymn.

i loved everything about this piece! i needed to rewind in certain areas that were too fast for this old brain. Overall, it was great!

I really love this song. We sing it at church often. Nice to be able to play it on my harp. The lessons were broken into manageable pieces. Although, at times the counting and placing reminders got a little confusing for me. I just paused and went back through, as Christy-Lyn suggests and things became more clear. Now I just have to SLOWLY increase my speed.

I loved learning this piece. I hadn’t heard of it before but it’s such a beautiful song. Christy-Lyn guided me through it effortlessly. Now to practice till I can play it faster,although it’s lovely played slowly too.
