It’s hard not to be captivated by the harp in the orchestral version of “Swan Lake”, and now we get to play it on our own harps! “Swan Lake” is a timeless, classical piece to add to your repertoire that will help you build a strong foundation of technique. Skills learned in this piece include cross-unders, quick-placing of shapes, and putting hands together. There are no lever changes! If you learn this piece with the video course, Carrie will show you how to play and practice each section to help you play this piece with elegance and confidence.

It has such a rhythmic feel and altogether a lovely arrangement. Carrie does a great job explaining crossing under, and all the other necessary skills

I really enjoy learning this piece, first time playing 2 hands together. Section E, F easier to learn than I thaught, except the bridge to repeat it, I’m still working on it. Thank you Carrie for this course.

    Excellent Lesson with Carrie

I honestly wasn’t sure how I would like video lessons with Carrie, but she is a truly excellent harp teacher. I like her description of closing one’s whole fingers and not just the tops, which is really developing my hand posture to new levels. She has an excellent video at the beginning to remind you about all the basics of harp playing: how to sit, how to play, and how far away the harp should be so you start well.
If you are ready to learn overlapping fingers, this is an excellent lesson to learn that skill and the song is learned much more quickly than some others because so much of this song is repetition.
