You’ll get good practice playing cleanly in the lower register with the dramatic left-hand rolled chords to emulate the low voices of the singing dwarves. This adaptation maintains the slow, mysterious character of the original song while adding movement and interest through rhythmic patterns and harmonies. Early-Intermediate: (Click here for the Mid-Beginner version). The right hand consists of interesting rhythms, overlapping brackets, and quick placing of notes. The left hand has rolled chords in the bass, overlapping brackets, and many 4-2-1 patterns.

Type of harp
Big harp version is for 33 string harps or larger, but small harp version works for 26 string harps or larger.
Range
For big harps: lowest note is C two octaves below middle C, highest note is A one and a half octaves above middle C.
For small harps: lowest note is C one octave below middle C, highest note is D just more than two octaves above middle C.
Levers/Pedals
In the key of D minor. (Set B flats before playing). No lever changes.
