This lovely song is one of the best for a beginner level. I know how to deal with the thicker strings now (the octave below the middle C). It is an additional skill and a small step forward… Thank you very much for the course, Christy-Lyn!

This is a lovely arrangement and the step by step guide is very encouraging. You encourage practice and patience and enjoyment. It is classified at the correct level but has developmental challenges that are just right. Thank you

Just finished this course. It was perfect for my level. I have been playing for a few months but needed direction and these courses are prefect for this. I do have previous music knowledge having played violin and piano for many years however although I can read and understand the music I need guidance on the fingering and on how to practice. Christy breaks it down into great manageable chunks.

It is not easy to do any self studying. However, I feel that I have got a very kind and patient teacher. Thank you, Christy-Lyn, for your great videos and your support!
The melody arrangement for a beginner harpist is good enough to play for pleasure.

Love this! It actually made me believe that I can learn the harp. I’ve got Mahogany Moon and Sailing on the Lake, both of which are beautiful, but this is the first with left-hand accompaniment. Can’t wait to move on to the next course! in the meantime, I will keep playing this at least once every day so that I get smooth and can play it easily for my Scottish brother-in-law!

Wanted to learn this for my Scottish brother-in-law. Beautiful arrangement! I particularly enjoyed dropping down an octave to play the lower notes in the second half. This one is easy to learn (did it in a weekend although I need more practice to make it really smooth) and very impressive.

Beautiful but easy rendition of this song. I tried to learn it on my own without the course, but it is so much faster and easier to learn with Christy Lyn! She does such a great job of walking the student though the song. It is also a great song for learning to use both hands together.

Beautiful. Satisfying song to play at the mid-beginner level. Well-placed on the difficulty chart (I am learning the songs as they are leveled, and this was harder than the last but easier than the next.)

I really enjoyed learning this piece, which I chose because I wanted to play for my Mum in the nursing home, a song she would remember. I can read the sheet music easily, but having Christy-Lyn talk me through, with reminders, hints and encouragements makes all the difference!

dividing the song into short lessons was helpful in learning and grasping the counting and the fingering/bracket positions. Learning this piece from the mini lessons didn’t feel overwhelming.

The course is taught in such logical, yet simple enough, thoughtful little chunks with both hands participating from the first section, onward, that I gained of feeling of actually playing a recognizable tune right away. A great confidence booster!
