Good morning, I am working on making my first sheet music for a song I arranged. My question is, what credit/permissions do you need when you publish it? For example Christy-Lynn has Josh Groben’s “You Raise Me Up”. Also, if you are selling the sheet music do you need to pay royalties to the person who wrote the song. If so, how is the best way to go about this?

    Thanks!

Hi, Melody. SheetMusicPlus has some information on its website that might answer some of your questions. Here’s a link: https://smppress.sheetmusicplus.com/ . Specifically, see the “Learn More” button under What You Can Publish > Arrangements > Copyrighted Material.
