Give yourself the gift of Carrie!

I’d been playing the harp for 6 months when I had my first lesson with Carrie. I was quite nervous, but she quickly made me laugh and feel at ease. She was kind, informative, and genuinely present throughout the hour (which can be really hard to do via video). Even though she is a highly advanced player herself, she was able to teach me things in a way that made sense to me at my novice level. And somehow, in a very short amount of time, she taught me an incredible amount without overwhelming me.

If you are ready to progress your technique or refine your skills or just want to ask a whole lot of little questions (like “how short do you keep your nails to play the best?”), Carrie will do all of that and more. HIGHLY RECOMMEND booking that first hour now – you will absolutely get more out of it than you can imagine!

tailored review and advice, just what I needed

I am trying to form the habit of going to the harp, but it’s been hard with losses and two accidents. however, this one to one with Carrie sorted my issues quickly and effectively. it also made me go back to some older purchases that I had not finished watching mainly for lack of time, forgetting, or simply not believing they would help me. Carrie’s approach is fabulous. We all need encouragement, and she has some of that for us in store too. Thank you Carrie.

    Carrie is an excellent teacher!

I have been learning the harp for three months, and love this course. It’s fantastic to be able to play pieces for my family within such a short time. I decided to book a lesson with Carrie to correct the bad habits I might have been developing. I really enjoyed my lesson this week. Carrie has a lovely manner, great sense of humour, and was very positive and encouraging. I was very pleased to find that I actually didn’t have any bad habits, thanks to following Christy-Lyn’s advice. I would highly recommend beginner harpists book a lesson as it is a great confidence-booster.

    Definitely worth it!

After almost a year of learning to play the harp, I decided to book a 1:1 lesson with Carrie… and it was well worth it! I learned so many little tips and tricks to improve my technique, including sitting at a more appropriate height and angle (which I never would have clued into if not for her being able to see me “in action”). She is very kind, positive and encouraging, making you feel at ease and comfortable asking questions. After the lesson, I noticed I had a renewed excitement about practicing and playing my harp. I would highly recommend booking a lesson with Carrie and taking your harp playing to the next level! 🎵😊

    Very comprehensive approach

Carrie is extremely kind and encouraging which makes working with her very enjoyable and low-stress. She supports my goals with enthusiasm. I’m very impressed and grateful for her ability to analyze a problem I’m having and find the way through it. She doesn’t have a “well, just keep practicing” mindset. She uses her skill and experience to breakdown the problem and create the solution.

    Carrie is Great!!!

I started my harp journey nine months ago, and came across Christy-Lyn’s videos online. This was nice as there are no harp instructors in my area. Though I really love learning online because I can go at my own pace, I felt I was missing more feedback I would get from a private lesson setting. So when Learning the Harp added Carrie as an instructor who would do zoom lessons, I was thrilled!!!! She has helped me with improving my technique, is very knowledgable answering all my questions, and is very easy to talk to! She has given me the boost of confidence I needed to know I am on the right track in my journey. Next month I am retiring, and am so looking forward to more lessons and more time to play my harp!!!!! I would highly recommend one-on-one lessons with Carrie!

    Game changing feedback!

Having done all of my harp-learning through on-line lessons, it was so helpful to work with an instructor one-on-one to review posture and technique and get tips on how I can improve my practice and playing. Carrie is so gentle in her coaching, and she quickly put me at ease. Absolutely worthwhile!
