This was one of my favorites from John Denver back in the late 70’s. I pushed myself to move from Late Beginner to Early Intermediate level when choosing this piece. The challenges in this course were the 6/8 timing with dotted eighth and quarter notes plus the switch to play in the octave above high C. I enjoyed the two different arpeggios contained in the course and felt like a real pro harpist as I played them. Kudos to Carrie for her pacing and patient approach. I took this course concurrently with the six week course on Transforming Practice. The lessons there were immediately applicable to working on the more difficult passages in Annie’s Song and made a marked difference in my confidence and progress.

I love the way Carrie teaches, however on this course, a number of the lessons blacked out before I completed them, particularly the full speed play through at the end; and on most of the lessons, only the top of her harp was visible. So I’m dissapointed in the video, but not her teaching. Perhaps its my tablet, I’ll try the practice video on my laptop just to see. Otherwise, I love this course.

Hi Carol. This issue is quite strange! Could you let me know if you experienced the same issue on your laptop? We would like to have a look into this issue to find out if it’s potentially a mobile device issue (and therefore something we need to fix on our end), or a browser issue that you might be able to fix on your side – could you also try opening the videos in a different browser on your tablet and see if that works? I’ve had a look at the lesson videos on my side and they are working (I’m using Chrome).
