Have More Questions?

No, you can join Harp Beginnings 2 even if you’re completely new to this website! You’ll have the best experience in Harp Beginnings 2 if you already have the basics of playing the harp established, though. If not, it would be best to join Harp Beginnings 1.

If you feel that you’ve forgotten everything and need to be reminded of the basics thoroughly before moving on, join Harp Beginnings 1. If you did good work on your technique when you learned originally and you just need a refresher to help you get back into things, you can join Harp Beginnings 2. You will still have prompts to help you refresh basic technique in Harp Beginnings 2, but it will move much faster.

Yes, Harp Beginnings 2 teaches more advanced concepts like musicality and improvising, and more advanced skills like playing rolled chords and complex overlapping brackets. But the courses to learn each song are still slow and methodical, and there will be plenty of time to practice before we move on to the next piece.

Harp Beginnings 1 includes Early-beginner and Mid-beginner pieces which are short, simple and don’t take a lot of time to learn. Harp Beginnings 2 includes a Late-beginner piece which is much longer and more complex, and takes a bit more time to learn. Plus, Harp Beginnings 2 has much more additional content and videos to help students to work on specific skills that they need as they graduate to Late-Beginner.
