This English folk song is one that just seems to suit the harp so well. Something about this melody just feels like it’s MEANT for the harp, don’t you think? It’s a really great tune to add to your repertoire, and this arrangement is quite simple to play.

Late-Beginner: It has a simplified melody in the right hand and left hand accompaniment which has a maximum of two notes per measure. Overlapping brackets are included, but only fingers 1, 2 and 3 are used

Taking it section by section and joining the pieces was great–the fastest I’ve ever learned a song on the harp! (My first course here.) The one thing I would say is I would love to see the verbal slips on notes/mistakes edited out because it made those sections a lot more confusing and I had to play them back some extra times and try not to play the wrong note that was accidentally said.

Beautiful song that is just MADE for the harp. I had a bit of trouble at first because of the finger cross-overs, but this course was the perfect introduction to that technique. Really enjoyed this one!

The breakdown into parts with play throughs helped keep down my anxiety about learning the whole piece at once. I looked forward to learning one chunk at a time and then building on each until, wow!, I learned the whole piece.

I’ve enjoyed learning this piece! It still needs some polishing on my part, but I’ll get there! My only suggestion would be to correct measure 15 on the sheet music to match the video lesson. The right hand A on the third beat should be noted to play with finger 1. Thanks, Marcia Tieman 🙂

This was the first course I have completed and I really enjoyed it!! So far I am terrible at learning to read music so I love that I am able to learn to play these courses without needing to learn to read the notes even though I plan to figure that out eventually.
