The right hand plays the melody with overlapping brackets, sometimes playing two notes at a time. The left hand plays 3-1 and 4-2-1 shapes with rolled chords, a glissando, and a couple of lever changes.

The lowest note is C below middle C, and the highest note is E just more than two octaves above middle C.
