O Come, Emmanuel (Video Lesson)

Oh come Emmanuel sheet music with sample

O Come, Emmanuel (Video Lesson)

This beautifully melody originates from 15th century France… and I think you can hear how old it is! It creates a lovely atmosphere of days long past, and reminds us of how beautiful it is that God came down to earth to be in relationship with us.

In this video lesson, Christy-Lyn breaks the piece down, teaches you how to apply important techniques and how to practice the piece until you can play it fluently.

Purchase the sheet music and video lesson together and follow along while Christy-Lyn teaches you.

Level: Late Beginner harp piece (for comparison to other pieces, go here)

Skills needed: You should be comfortable with using fingers 1, 2, 3 and 4, and overlapping brackets, and using hands together before trying this piece.

Type of harp: lever harps, including lap harps.

Key: E minor (with F sharp levers).  No lever changes.

Product: instructional video lesson divided into 9 videos, available for download or streaming.

Sheet Music (PDF download) is available in bundle.

NOTE: This video lesson is not intended to teach you basic harp technique from scratch. Please use this lesson in conjunction with a good method book. I recommend Pamela Bruner's Play the Harp Beautifully (you need to have finished the whole book for this piece).
