@donald.barron I wasn’t familiar with Tyrell’s Pass and had to look it up. I have played some jigs on tin whistle, but I haven’t tried any on harp yet. That’s a nice one. Celtic airs are more my speed on harp because I can manage those slower tempos.
Different methods work for different people. Many of the “learn a trad tune by ear” tutorial videos teach the right-hand melody first, before combining it with the left. I also have a book that teaches that way, but it just hasn’t worked for me. I learn better by chunking, learning small sections with both hands together.
