Hello together, great idea to introduce us:

1. What made you decide to start playing the harp?

Once I was in a concert (in the eighties) and a young man was playing a small harp – I never knew about it… two weeks later my piano was sold and a small harp was ordered, modell “renaissance” from Salvi. Even the harpteacher on our conservatory never heard about small harps and she tried to teach me well. Nevertheless I had a few lessons and then I stopped it – it was not what I really needed.

2. What is your favorite style or genre of harp music?

I am a Folksinger, loving the celtic music very much and jiddish and sefardish music too. I love to arrange my songs harps for accompaniments.

3. What are your harp-related goals for 2021?

My goal – not even für 2021 – is to become better in first-sight-reading and coordination of both hands.

4. What do you enjoy most about playing the harp?

I love to hold my harps in my arms, feeling the resonance in my body. And I really love the sound of plucked instruments, their tenderness and also the power they can have.
