I was finding my strings harder to see recently. Getting older , being tired, eyesight issues…take your pick! This week I covered the busy background behind my harp with a solid, light sheet when I was practicing and it really helped to focus my eyes on the strings.I know this isn’t always possible to do but when at home and playing it gives your eyes a bit of a break! Just thought I would share.

I did the same thing! It really helped! I want to also try adding led lights but haven’t decided yet.

Im going to try the lights also. I think that even if we just put all this into place during practicing and playing for ourselves we will build our muscle memory without as much eye strain and have better skills when out and about with our harps.

I do have eye issues….I am 53 yrs. I have that problem since my birth but it getting worse now….shame… I not only use the sheet light, I do enlarge the sheets and tape the middle. I will make a photo and load it up here. It does help a LOT🙂
