I really like the performance book that CL recommended in her video. It makes it easy to turn pages. I usually keep my music in a three ring binder, which means turning two pages to get to a new piece. I have notebooks by genre. But if I play at a dinner, I will gather a variety and put them in the performance notebook. However, taking the music in and out of the sleeves and putting back in the notebooks is extra work. Any suggestions? Do you make extra copies? Do you have a performance notebook ready to go and then make other notebooks depending on what you want to play?

    Hi Annette,

At a recent harp gathering I attended, people highly recommended the rondo file as a great presentation folder. Music can be easily slipped in and out and you can add pencil markings to your music without removing it. Also their cadenza folder looks great for holding sheet music of more than two pages on a music stand.

I hope it’s ok to mention products on this website. Look up:

Thank you, Sarah. That does look like a very nice option.

I’m really wondering about whether ppl have their performance notebooks set, or do they change them up often. It is easier for me to find my various pieces to choose from when they are in the notebook (Celtic, classical, hymns, etc.) and alphabetized.
