• Moving with a harp

I have a small unlevered Harpsicle that I need to move across several US states. It will be in my car for two days and I will bring it into the hotel overnight. It’s in a soft-sided carrying case.

Is there anything else I should do for it? Loosen strings? Tighten strings? Can I pack it in a different orientation than having it’s soundboard facing downward?

    Thanks for your suggestions!

I think I would loosen the strings a little. I know when my harpsicle was shipped to me it was about a half step or so from being in tune.

If you send an email to harpsical harps they will probably be happy to advise you. They were very helpful when I contacted them once.
